The idea
Repeal all laws and regulations which entitle MPs to exemption from laws which they have imposed on the rest of the population.
Exemptions and privileges affect many areas and were, of course, at the heart of and well illustrated by, the recent expenses scandal.
Why is it important?
MPs are representatives of the population, but are members of the population and as such must, in equity, be subject to the same laws and regulations.
To impose impose laws and regulations on the public and then exempt themselves from all or some of the impacts is a denial of faith and natural justice.
