The idea
Schools are becoming increasingly unruly places as the result of teachers being powerless to exert control where required. This is impacting on society as a whole and on the rights of well behaved children in the school to receive the attention and education they deserve.
Why is it important?
The Government is finding it increasingly difficult to recruit good teachers and there are more and more children in schools who think it's their right to do what they like with absolutely no regard for the rights of others. Discipline needs to be reinstated in schools and teachers need to be empowered with reasonable physical punishement.
