The idea

The long term effects of smoking are well known and documented, this is the same for being chronically overweight. I fully believe it is everyone’s right to choose if they live a healthy life style or not, but smokers and members of sociality whom are obese must also take responsibility for their actions.

If a long term smokers develops respiratory related illness due to smoking, should be made to pay for any treatment. If a patient develops complications due to their weight, they must either loose the weight or pay for treatment.

I take care of my body and its hard work. I don’t see why I should pay for people who don’t do the same.

Why is it important?

This idea is important as it serves people who take reasonability for their own actions and choose to lead a healthier life style. Ultimately we are all responsible for our own actions and this should be reflected is our politics and our society. Those, whom choose not to, should not please their burden upon those that do.
