Human rights, prisoners and foreign prisoners

The idea

I believe that there needs to be a good overall of the Human Rights Act, it may have started out as a good idea but seems to serve the wrong doer, crimminal and legal aid solicitor more often than the decent law abiding person it probably set out to protect.

I also believe that if a person from another country commits a crime then they should serve out the sentence in their country of origin and loose all rights to return to Britain.  This would vastly cut our prison population down.  If their country of origin is not as cushy as here – tough they should have thought about that.

As for our home grown crimminal it is little wonder that people say prison does not work, some prisoners probably have a better life inside than they do on the outside, with no money worries, T.Vs, playstations and the up-keep of their drug addiction through methadone programmes.  If they do not get what they want be it tobacco, phone cards or whatever they preach the human rights or racism card.

I would have liked to comment on other issues but I only have a short break and this website is unbelievably slow.

Why is it important?

I think my idea is important because it is about time that people started being responsible for their own actions and financial upkeep and not believe that they are owed a living and that it is always someone elses fault and not their own.  For far too long now some aspects of society seem to use the victim card to get what they think they should have, often without actually ever having worked for it, and the tools of their trade are the  Human Rights Act the where there is blame there's a claim brigade and lets not forget the drug addict who hasn't actually made a lifestyle choice to take drugs but in actual fact is a 'victim with an illness' and gets a bit more in his benefits because he is ill, what for? To spend it all on smack?

This is why I would like a review or even a scrapping (if it was too easily mis-interpreted and could continue to be mis-used as present) of the Human rights act.
