The idea

The Electoral Register / Roll should be completely and universally removed from access by any third party ( none government offices ) trying to acquire information of an individual for profit related reasons. ie, market research, private research, etc

Why is it important?

Peoples civil liberties need to be defended. Private, personal and sensitive information about people should be safe guarded and not open to purchase by members of the public or organisations working for there own best intrests. This information should be used solely by the NHS and other such government related offices in the case of emergencies, etc

This could possibly help ( Purely speculatively ) reduce identity theft / high profile burglaries by denying key information to whomever requests it.
