Opt out of Euro legislation that is not right for the UK

It's important that the new government protects this country from whatever threatens it. currently that threat is mostly economic (plus perhaps terrorism).

We must be able to manage immigration, and that means stopping or even reversing immigration from within the EU. The current regulations introduced to manage immigration must apply to all immigration regardless of the point of origin.

European Union

Get us out of the European Union which was sold to us in 1973 by Edward Heath. He told us it was the European Economic Community. it was a lie. The Treaty of Rome which is what we actually signed up to talks solely about ultimate political union which is very nearly what we have today.

Repeal the 1972 Treaty of Rome Act.

I am sure that if one adds together all suggestions submitted to Nick Clegg on unessary laws, most of these will have their origin in Brussels. No British Government can do anything about them unless they repeal the treaty of Rome Act.

EU Referendum

As we are to be given a vote next year for a change to our voting system we need an extra box on the voting paper stateing "EU IN OR OUT" let us have the referendum we were promised  let the electorate decide what is best for us, not a bunch of unelected bureaucrats ordering us about.

Repeal the 1967 European Communities Act

In order to remove the bulk of the legislation that ordinary people see as repressive, irrelevant, economically damaging and plain bloody-minded from our lives, we have to remove the Act that binds us to Brussels, the source of 70% of our laws.

Racing to the wrong divorce courts in Europe: Brussels II

The Brussels II regulation had the aim of helping couples from different parts of Europe cope with divorce. Unfortunately the way it was drafted meant that instead of finding the most appropriate forum for divorce, where the couple lived, owned property, raised children, the partner who got to a court in Europe first could hold the other to ransom by dragging them through inappropriate court proceedings at great expense in foreign courts.

This regulation has caused considerable hardship for couples. The weaker, poorer partner, usually the wife, is put under great strain before she can get proper relief in a court which is best suited to hear the case.

The regulation must be revised or the UK should withdraw from its regime.

OPT OUT OF EUROPE ALL TOGETHER

The cost of being in Europe is prohibiting the real expansion of business within the UK so removing us from the Union would ultimately result in more job creation and faster growth.

Along with this would come the benefit of not having to pay a membership fee of some £40billion a year for a rebate of £9billion a net loss of £30billions a year which would wipe out the national debt within 6 years.

If this government is intent on keeping its promise of fair representation for all then it must realise that European intervention in everything we do is against that promise so we must pull out now.

Get out of the drain on public finance which is Europe

The E.U cost us £40billion per year, that is a conservative estimate but the real cost to business may be regarded as far higher when one equates the number of what people see as idiotic rules and regulations emanating daily from some unelected think tank hidden away in Brussels. The following statement is from civitas.

If the UK were to leave the EU, there would be no net loss of jobs or trade. In addition, we would be between £17 billion and £40 billion per year better off, possibly more.

Even if the true cost were to be the minimum saving of £17billion within ten years the economy would be back in the black.

Legislation regarding health and safety should be based on individual circumstances and not some bland restrictive cover all measure which will always come from the EU. the EU system is designed to equate to the lowest common denominator and will always restrict growth within the UK because we will always be paying more in to in effect shackle ourselves than we will ever get back out in subsidies.

European Directives which impact on SMEs

To create a Small Business European Task Force to ensure legislation which could impact on SMEs is effectively monitored and engaged with from the outset.
