The idea
Everyone should be issued a driving licence that only lasts 5 years. When it needs to be renewed they should have to re sit their driving test. This would increase the driving standards dramatically and remove the people, currently on the road, that shouldn't be there. Driving is a privalage and not a right.
Why is it important?
This will save lives by improving driving standards. It will remove people from the roads whos driving standards have dropped. It will ensure people will keep up to date with the highway code and its application. There will be less accidents on the road and a reduction in NHS costs in treating injured people.
