– Criminals are being made of ordinary people for consuming this drug (it doesn't harm anybody else in consuming it, etc.)
– Users of cannabis (although the evidence only seems to be qualitative and anecdotal) are generally not violent (which can be contrasted with alcohol)
– Although there is debate over its health impacts, the implications to a persons physical health are low, and the mental are seemingly correlational
– On a level of principal, it's fundamentally wrong for the state to be entitled to dictate whether or not someone can consume a substance such as cannabis where the effect on others is non-existent
