Repeal the Law on Hunting with Bows

Please repeal the law on hunting with bows as it is no more dangerous than hunting with guns and if done correctly under license it is just as humane as if it was done with a gun. With regards to wounding of animals there is always the possibility of wounding when hunting. We are happy as a society to keep farm animals in appalling conditions so we can have cheap food but will not allow a small amount of people to hunt game as humans did for thousands of years. I would like to hunt large and small game for food under license without the hassle of owning a gun. It requires more skill and is not easy so it would not mean loads of idiots wondering the country side loosing of arrows everywhere. The main opposition would be from existing gun hunters who would see it as a threat to there sport not from animal rights groups. License hunting with bows and let us hunt the old sustainable way.

The Sharia Is A Model Of Utter Simplicity. It Contains A Lesson For Us.

Use the Sharie as a model of simplicity for the framing and application of laws. All seem to understand the Sharie while virtually no-one can understand English Law (Common or otherwise)

The Sharie has stood the test of time. It works and is used in the UK already, although this is denied. Banking law is increasingly based on observance of the Sharia and this will increase as we begin to see the toxic and ruinous effects of the UK banking system.

I do not advocate adopting some of the traditional and Quranic laws of the Sharia. I simply say we could learn from simplicity and effectiveness.

Hunting act

I would like to see the ban on hunting with dogs overturned, I have been involved in agriculture, gamekeeping and pest control all my life so have experience involving snares traps and gun, both snares and traps can be in humane and indiscriminate catching non target species, a gun can be an efficive and humane tool in pest and predator control, but is only as efective and humane as the person pulling the trigger…… Hunting with hounds, terriers and lurchers doesn’t leave a single wounded animal, it’s either a humane and swift dispatch or a very live and well target species…… And as somebody with a keepering and farming background I personaly have found that the problem foxes are either wounded possibly from gun shot or car accidents or are older foxes, therfore they find it harder to catch the wild food younger and healthier foxes thrive on…. Hunting is about control but it also creates a natural ballance….. In the case of hare coursing a lot of farms and estates now shoot hares en mass due to an increase in poaching since coursing was banned, the hunting act is an unjust law, and in the light of recent fox attacks I hope that you take my request seriously…. Many thanks!

Repeal Of The Foxhunting Ban

Repeal this ban that is necessary for the control of foxes throughout England ,Scotland and Wales. Not only is it necessary to bring back foxhunting but also to restore it back to an integral part of our heritage.

Restoring this will bring back a wrongly banned sport which was only banned because of the class inferiority that labour felt it had and had nothing to do with animal welfare.

Repeal of the hunting ban

As a simple working class city person with very little spare money to purchase a horse and all the other necessary items required to go hunting, even if I wished to which I don't, but a strong belief in my right to spend my money in any way that  I like within reason and having read the comments posted here which  I have been persuaded by I can only say to all those that want to dictate to others how they spend their own hard earned money that they would do more good in the cities trying to persuade all those young thugs to give up their knives, guns etc and allow their neighbours to live in peace & not be afraid to go out of their homes without fear instead of chasing around the countryside hiding behind bushes ,trees etc trying to get photographs of people trying to do a job that is necessary to keep the balance of nature. Finally I would add that out of interest I have been to a few meets to see what happens, have been made very welcome and have yet to meet these 'toffs' some of you refer to. In fact I am left wondering if any of you that do all the shouting have ever taken the trouble to go to a 'meet' or just talk out of ignorance. IanD.
