1999 Health Act: remove “catch-all” clause on regulation of professions.

Paragraph (b) of Section 60 of the Health Act 1999 (Part III Miscellaneous and Supplementary) states that "Her Majesty may by Order in Council make provision … regulating any other profession which appears to Her to be concerned (wholly or partly) with the physical or mental health of individuals and to require regulation in pursuance of this section."

This paragraph is too broad and should be removed or amended to specify what professions it refers to,

‘Waste carriers license’ making criminals out of inocent workers!

The waste carriers license is a tax imposed on every single tradesmen, builder and gardener etc or anyone else who simply works and ends up producing "waste" such as packaging or surplus materials.

This has been implemented by the Environment agency to quote   "to cover the cost of clearing up after fly tippers."

Revoke prison sentence for church feats.

According to my sources the previous administration made it illegal to hold a church feat without a license. They also introduced a two year prison sentence for the same.

It is one of their 5000 new criminal offenses. If this law still exists it should be struck down at once.

Abolish Alcohol Control Zones

Remove the power for local authorities to introduce alcohol control zones.

People should be free to drink outside a pub or in the park as long as they are not creating a niusance. Some local authorities (such as Greenwich) are considering using this power to ban drinking in all public areas. There is already a ban in Greenwich town centre and it has ruinied one of my favourite pubs there as we can no longer stand outside in the sunshine with our drinks in the summer.
