Holiday/sick pay entitlement & employment status

Provide a more flexible environment for small businesses to employ people without having to take account of holiday and sick pay entitlement, maternity leave and employment law.

Why does this matter?

The regulations that apply to small businesses of 50 employees or less are too much of a burden and discourage growth.

There is so much regulation, that a company needs to employ people just to keep themselves up to date for fear of legal action or Government penalties. These are overheads that prevent companies from competing on an equal footing globally.

An environment needs to be created that encourages small businesses to expand without fear of litigation and Government persecution.
