Crime & Punishment

The crime committed should be reflected by a law which sets out a mandatory minimum  sentence.

Judges would have no right to set a minimum term but only a longer term.

Why does this idea matter?

Some of the present sentences handed down by the courts are pathetic.

For murder, carrying a weapon, a  minimum sentence should be 20 years should be imposed without parole.
