I submit that it should be a legal requirement that all ballot papers whether in an election, referendum or other public consensus establishing democratic activity must have an option for "None Of The Above"

In other words, an option to vote that "the people" are NOT happy with any of the choices being presented to them.

Should the final number of people choosing this option be greater than that of any other choice, then the election/vote/referendum would be declared void and the entire process restarted with funds allocated for previously smaller parties/declarants/opinions to enable fair media access.

Why is this idea important?

Simply because today's "Democracy" still presents limited choice, and only the views of those with access to large campaign financing and large media budgets are presented to the public.
