Police & Early Retirement
Change the current commitment to allow Police to retire at the statutory age currently running at 65 and when a serving officer reaches a certain age he or she is offered lighter duties such as administration, traffic duties etc. – and if for any reason an officer has to retire early make it the same as anybody else that their pension is not collectable till the statutory retirement age
Why does this idea matter?
This would save vast amounts of Public money inasmuch as there must be thousands of ex-police collecting incredible sums of public money well before they are 60 years old and even taking on other jobs leaving the Police force wasting even more public money employing civilians to carry out administration and other duties.
