Amendment to the Hunting Act 2004

An amendment should be made to the Hunting Act 2004, Schedule 1, Exempt hunting, (6) Falconry, to require dogs to wear muzzles when flushing to birds of prey.

The Act should be amended to include draghunting and again dogs should be required to wear muzzles.

Why is this idea important?

EU Laws

The repeal of the Single European Act, and subsequent Acts rtifying EU treaties would represent huge cost savings as well as enhancing democracy.

Repeal of the Act banning hunting with dogs

The Labour government introduced (in 2003/4?) legislation banning hunting with dogs. This should be repealed. Hunting of this kind is a long-established activity. Introducing this kind of law was a perfect example of the state interfering in a societal activity, without creating a  sufficient benefit to other members of society. It criminalised ordinary people, and risked appearing to be motivated by class resentment

I do not hunt myself, nor do I associate with anyone who does.

My objection is one of principle on the way government should work: it was a significant factor in my voting against Labour in the last two elections

Where does it allow in the British constitution that Britain can be governed by an outside nation not elected by the British people?

Britain must sever its links with the EU due to the fact that the past Labour-Union government administration of Britain entered into an illegal affiliation with the EU governing body contrary to the Constition of Britain which requires that the approval of the citizens of Britain must be gotten before such an alliance with another government can be made on their behalf. This was not done by Blair. He misled the British public and did not adequately explain or communicate the matter to the public or the parliament of Britain. He contrived to deceive.

Repeal the European Human Rights Law

I would most like to see the European Human Rights law scrapped. This law is responsible for most the problems in today's society. It was created I'm sure with the best of intentions but does not work in practise. It provides an excuse for many terrorists to avoid deportation and has encouraged the growth of an army of Human Rights Lawyers who drain millions of pounds from the public purse in order to fight appeal after appeal for asylum seekers who should not be in the country in the first place.

Moratorium on Immigration

It is now freely admitted that this country does not know the true numbers of immigrants both legal and illegal who have entered ther country in the last few years.  However it takes no imagination whatsoever to see the impact which the number of no-British nationals are having upon our services.  One only has to look at hospital queues, pressures on Police, affect upon schools, statistics on violence, inability of Social Services to cope, Bank queues, etc., etc.

The system is in a shambles.  The only way this situation can be corrected is to place a complete ban on any immigration over the next 3/5 years  whilst the whole subject is reviewed and brought under control with proper procedures for entry to the UK, suitable numbers of properly trained staff put in place and a  sensible policy developed for control from there on.
