Tuition Fee for children in schools

Dear Sirs

Could I may put an idea forward please that the children at school should pay tuition fee as little as £5 for start every month and an invoice will be issued to them.

Let’s say if there are about 500 kids in school that mean the amount of £2500 will be a big help for the school to full fill their needs, like repairs.

Thast £30000 a year and can do alot!

And its not a big amount for any parents to pay for their children at least they will be spending less money on their drinks and society will be a lot better place.

I don’t want to say too much I have many ideas but I leave this idea in you good hands.

Best wishes’

EU students study free in Scotland

As you probably are aware there are no tuition fees in Scotland, if you are Scotish.

However, how many people know that other EU students can also study in Scotland for free?

All at the cost of the British taxpayer.

This is not only outrageous but it is blatent discrimination against those of us who British but not Scottish!

This needs to be adressed immeadiately!

Scrap EMA and use the money to make tuition fees for maths and real sciences free

EMA pays students who don't want to learn to turn up and loaf around in 6th forms disrupting lessons for those who do want to learn. That's not value for money, it's a waste of money. If the savings from scrapping EMA went to encourage more maths, engineering and science degree students, which the country really needs then we'd be inesting in our future rather than throwing good money away.

Education

Everyone has right to a decent education however you define it. The higher education committee are not looking beyond the traditional A levels, then Uni format.

Tuition Fees

Scrap and at least permanently cap tuition fees and scrap the very idea of charging commercial interest rates. Introduce an equitable graduate tax as percentage of earnings, ringfenced for funding higher eductaion.

I put this suggestion in the section on civil liberties because every person should be enabled in a developed country to be educated to the highest standard they can achieve. A young person's suitability for higher education should be determined by their academic ability, talent and ambition, not by how much their parents earn.

Ringfencing higher education for the higest paid minority, such as children of financiers, has no place in the 21st century. It is oppressive, it harms social freedom, social mobility. It deprives the country of academic ambition and of the diverse talent and skills it needs in a modern world.

Prescriptions & Education

Standardising prescriptions nationwide so the nation pays a reduced prescription charge. What I mean by this is forcing Wales to charge for prescriptions. I don't see why the British Tax payers should subsidise something that they themselves are unable to benefit from.

Standardising University Education nationwide. What I mean by this is forcing Scotland to charge for University fees. I don't see why the British Tax payers should subsidise something that they themselves are unable to benefit from and we already have a huge defeatist in university education.

Create a rating system for university courses. Someone who qualifies as a doctor earns over their professional life, much more than someone who has qualified in say a teacher. So why should a teacher pay the same fees as a doctor? Surely it is more financially viable to stagger the rate of fees dependant on what course you are doing and where you go? America rate their universities, and Ivy League universities are allowed to charge more. Ivy League don't exclude poorer students, who can apply for grants to plug their financial gap. This is subsidised by higher fees to those that can afford it.

Abolish university fee’s

In recent years the costs of university has become ridiculously unreasonable, students have to mount tens of thousands of pounds worth of debt in order to further their education.

I suggest abolishing these fee's, make education available again, don't restrict it to those who come from a privileged background.

I have just finished university, and during my time there I have racked up in excess of 20 grand worth of debt, a debt which will cost me for many, many years to come.

In my father’s era university used to be free, only those who truly wanted to further their education did so, and as a result only the best of the best could claim they had degree's to their name, we need to make this the case again.

University should be advertised as an option, not as a requirement. Youngsters are made to feel like its the only option, like its the way to go, and aren't made aware of the vast array of other routes they could take after compulsory education.

The British education is revered all over the world, people are desperate to come to us, why should the next generation of British teens have to pay such extortionate prices for this?
